Funny as American man commits crime so he could go to jail and get away from wife

                                                      
A Tennessee, USA man, Hayden Vandiver, wanted to leave his wife so badly he designed a way out: he committed a crime that took him to jail.

The 51-year-old Vandiver, told News 2 that he broke into his old workplace, damaging property and stole a truck belonging to his former employer whom he despised, and deliberately allowed himself to be arrested and sent to jail so that he could be from his troublesome wife.

Though he admitted he committed the crimes under the influence of drugs, Vandiver said actually planned to get caught so he would be sent to prison and force his wife to leave him.

"She is having a bad time right now. She knows I did this to get away from her."

Vandiver was caught on camera stealing the 2012 prized Dodge 2500 and a trailer valued at over £40,000 ($60,000).
