Communities urged to take full responsibility of govt projects

www.odogwublog.com reports that Governor Willie Obiano has charged communities in the state to take full ownership of Government projects in their localities.
Governor Obiano gave the charge while commissioning a water bore-hole at Most Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church Abatete, in Idemili North Local Government Area.
The bore-hole project has four thousand gallons of tank on the surface and eight thousand gallons of tank underground with a  twenty KVA generating set for power supply.
Commissioning the project, Governor Obiano said the event marks the flag off of renovation of water bore-holes across the state in order to provide a portable water supply to Ndi Anambra.
Governor Obiano added that the project will be completed within the shortest possible time charging the communities to provide adequate security in addition to maintaining the projects.                 
He maintained that vandalization of public property in un acceptable to the State Government   expressing displeasure that the state is generating one hundred and twenty mega watts of electricity but can only transmit an insignificant quantity from it because of the activities of vandals.
The member representing Idemili North  in the State House of Assembly Mr Francis Mmegbuanaeze whose joy knew no bounds said it is one out of numerous others.
The Commissioner for Public Utilities and Water resources, Mr Obi Nwankwo stressed the need for the water to be reticulated to extend it to members of the host  community.
Mr Nwankwo acknowledged that list of bore hole projects have been compiled for immediate renovation and charged communities involved not to abandon maintenance of the projects to the government alone.
Earlier in an address, the Parish Priest of the Church, Reverend Father Ignatius Okeke, expressed appreciation to the Governor for the gesture and for fulfilling his promises to the people.
