Buhari should give Ndigbo 2nd Niger Bridge, Enugu International Airport, Alor Monarch -----Igwe McAnthony Chinedu Elibe Okonkwo

www.odogwublog.com brings you the view of the traditional ruler of Alor, Idemmili South local government of Anambra state, said Igwe McAnthony Chinedu Elibe Okonkwo (Ezedioramma 111) as he said; ‘’Marginalization of Ndigbo will end if President Muhammadu Buhari fast tracks the upgrading of Enugu international Airport, completion of 2nd Niger Bridge and re-construction of all dilapidated federal roads in South-East, especially Enugu-Onitsha Highway’’.

His words: ‘’The second Niger Bridge is another area of concern to us. We are appealing to Mr. President not to abandon that bridge. He should do something about that so that Ndigbo will be happy too. The ongoing upgrading of Enugu International Airport at snail speed should be fast tracked to make the airport look international with steady flight like Kano and Lagos Airports.

‘’Most importantly, the Enugu-Onitsha expressway and other federal roads in the south east are dead traps and need serious rehabilitation. We will be very glad if Mr. President addresses all these challenges confronting Igbo nation’’.
He said the Enugu international airport, as a matter of fact, is not well functioning like other international airports in Nigeria and that Ndigbo will be glad if it starts functioning like Lagos and Kano airports where steady flight comes in and goes out.
Igwe Okonkwo noted that although Ndigbo were crying of marginalization when Mr. President did some appointments but today, ‘’we are happy with the list of the ministerial nominees he sent to the senate. It is our humble prayer that they all scale through.
Igwe Okonkwo said Buhari has: ‘’so far shown uncommon determination to move this country forward following the way he is tackling the issue of corruption head-on.
The Alor Monarch appealed to Buhari to ensure corrupt people and corruption is not tolerated in his cabinet in order to set a pace and standard for Nigeria’s greatness.

On the security issue, I have no doubt in his ability to contain Boko Haram insurgency in the North as a retired Army-General. He has the expertise and experience which he has demonstrated in the past few months-visiting the presidents of neighbouring countries to strengthen the bilateral relations between them and Nigeria.
