Anambra decays as Obiano abandones Onitsha!

                                            

"Onitsha, the Commercial Capital of Anambra State is fast assuming the status of the dirtiest city in Nigeria under the watch of Gov Obiano. Every visitor to the largest market in West Africa always have something bad to say about what has become Onitsha since the inception of Gov Obiano's administration.

Any visitor desirous of patronising the markets in Onitsha will first be greeted with heaps of refuse and filled receptacles; oozing out staunch smell and blocking one lane of the road. Even as one is boarding a vehicle to Main market, the loaders will say it to your hearing that they will not ply Ochanja market because of the refuse blocking it.

Sights of Ochanja to Menas junction Onitsha, portrays a picture of a failed city caused by a confused and failed government. The whole road have been left to dilapidate drastically. When you get to Ochanja roundabout, could you imagine that Anambra State government dropped a refuse bin in that roundabout without recourse to the implications it comes with...not just that they kept it there for every vehicle turning to see, but the refuse bin is filled to the brim and have littered the said roundabout.

Moving ahead via Iweka road now, precisely at Venn road, gullies have taken over that intersection, vehicles from Modebe Avenue now cue up to avoid having their vehicles stocked in those gullies.

The most sordid of all is these heaps of refuse is the one at Creek road Fegge, which is upto 1km, I counted about 8 pigs dancing Willie is Working with their offsprings there...

That Onitsha is what it is today was because of the massive overhaul in infrastructure it got under the administration of Sir Peter Obi. From Head bridge to Upper-Iweka to Ziks roundabout are testimonies of Peter Obi's intervention in Onitsha which the present government have failed to improve upon rather the cities keeps deteriorating under their watchful eyes.
