Tension as Police kill itself in Yobe

                                                      

A police constable attached to the Nangere Police Division in Yobe State, ran amok on Friday, September 25, killing two Inspectors with his service rifle before turning the gun on himself.

The sad incident took place during a disagreement between the killer and the murdered senior officers on a homicide case that was brought to the station.

Another officer who witnessed the incident said the junior officer threatened his senior colleagues and shortly after, shot them ded before killing himself.

“He shot himself after killing the two other inspectors at the station,” the eyewitness said.

Meanwhile, the state Police Commissioner, Zanna Ibrahim, confirmed the incident, saying full investigations into the circumstances that led to the murder cum suicide has begun.
