PAUL UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY SECRETELY CELEBRATES AS BURSAR’S TENURE COMES TO AN END
...Appeals that tenure renewal or extension will sink the University
The entire community (staff and students) of Paul University, Awka are in jubilant mood as the tenure of the University Bursar, Sir Simon Nnoli comes to an end on May or first week of June, 2015, a scenario replica of occurrence during the end of his tenure in the former University where he had worked retired from.
In the past five years, Staff and Students of Paul University passed through difficult and horrible experiences in the hand of the University Bursar, who paraded himself as a demi-god, able to manipulate the authority and the system by what many thought be “magic wand or un-systemic mysticism”. He wielded such powers that nobody could stop him from carrying out his evil intents against any staff (no matter the rank) or student. He exalted himself to the extent that he would not take instructions from the pioneer Vice Chancellor, who incidentally, brought him to the University, nor would he observe the university rules and regulations.
It is still fresh in the minds of staff and students how the Bursar, Sir Simon Nnoli conducted himself and his activities during the past five years in Paul University Awka. A quick review would throw more light on why we (Staff and Student) are saying “NO TO BURSAR’S TENURE RENEWAL OR EXTENSION”:
1.    The Bursar, Sir Simon Nnoli intentionally disobeyed the former VC’s instructions and made boast of it to everybody.
2.    He would canceled the approvals of the then VC and infused his with the intent to vilify the staff and discredit him/her and the system.   
3.    The Bursar licked all University secretes immediately after meeting to everybody who cared to listen to him.
4.    The Bursar, Sir Simon Nnoli flagrantly disobeyed the University rules, such as “stop and search at the University gate” for security purpose. The rule was obeyed the pioneer VC, Registrar, Bishops, Priests, staff and guests but the Bursar, Sir Simon Nnoli did not.
5.    The Bursar would pay staff late even when there was enough fund and approval from the then Vice Chancellor…just to establish his stubbornness and disrespect to authority.
6.    The Bursar victimized whoever he perceived as his enemy for no reason.
7.    The Bursar did make an open shows of the University policies
8.    He never suggested any progressive ideas, solutions or way forward, rather he killed every good idea that would have taken the University to a high height…or starved such ideas with fund that had already been approved.
9.    He went about carrying rumour that the University cannot survive for a long time, and that he could do without Paul University, because he is rich.
10.    And so many other things that are not for public consumptions.
These actions of the Bursar almost brought the University to its knee, but the Almighty God heard our cry and gave us a David, the amiable gentleman, a Priest, a Father and an Administrator per excellence as the new Vice Chancellor who treat everybody as human. The emergence of the new VC brought hope to all…but the subtle schemer and devil’s advocate, the Bursar began to prowl…and now launders his dirt characters so as to secure his approval. Some think that the new VC is Beginning to like him, but we know that  the Spirit of God is with our new VC and no matter the amount of evil manipulation, his administration MUST succeed… in Jesus Name – Amen.
Our position and appeal to the Vice Chancellor, Governing Council and the Bishops is to shop for a new Bursar who would help Paul University grow and not drag it to the mud by fulfilling evil agenda. Anglican Interest is bigger and better than individual interest. The Bursar, Sir Nnoli has served his one tenure (five solid years)and had never contributed meaningfully to Paul University. He should leave the stage and let a progressive person come in.
We shall resist any attempt by anybody to renew or extend his tenure. This would mean killing the destinies of Staff and Students of Paul University. This Passionate appeal is to save us from grave danger of losing our staff and students who have concluded mass exit to other institutions, companies, etc as a way to register their disapproval of Bursa’s tenure renewal or extension. There could be a demonstration by students and staff if Sir Nnoli’s tenure is renewed or extended.
Conclusion: Bursar’s tenure must not be renewed or extended to avoid adverse outcome from Staff and students. Let the Bursar leave honorably as his co-pioneer Principle Officers (VC and Registrar) did.
Our genuine and sincere prayer is that Jehovah will keep giving the Bishops and our God-sent ViceChancellor the wisdom and strength to take Paul University to an enviable height, while revealing and punishing all the hidden enemies of Paul University…AMEN.
