Retired Rev Emmanuel Nduka of Okija has said in New York yesterday he would be paying from his pension 6000 naira every month to the account of Chibok girls till released for use by their parents beginning this month-January 2015.
"I want to physically join in their pain....not just only experiencing mental pain as I do now". According to Rev Nduka, " I understand that some of their parents have died of frustration and anguish.
They might have asked God...'why me?, why my daughter?'.I pray that men of conscience with means should trace out some affected parents with help. Also that Church organisations should be involved.
They are suffering for what they know not...imperfection of our society and politics. This is my widow's mite.
THANK YOU PRESIDENT GOODLUCK
I want to use this medium to thank President Jonathan for preferring being branded a "spineless" or "weak President" for "refusal" to "release" or set free the Chibok girls, even after stating he knew where they were.
l learnt while at University of Nigeria Nsukka that, "Discretion is better part of varlor." People should understand the President was not the person who put them there in the first place.
It would be very easy for him to issue the order to soldiers to immediately attack and release the girls.
That bravado could result in death of many or all the girls. I personally would prefer , like the real mother of the living baby in King Solomon story, a living undivided child than dead one...here, living Chibok girls where we have hope of seeing again than dead ones.
Other people of conscience and like mind who want to help can send their message of support to my email but do not send me money of any kind.
My e-mail address is [email protected].
May God save these girls who earlier deserted their school out of fear but had to come to take their exams. Life is at best unsafe...we never know what befalls or when.
