On "Okwute" Peter Obi, Rev. Uche DanOkafor wrote,
"HONESTLY, I was impressed by this Politician. Last Saturday I flew on the first flight from Abuja to PH. We left after 7am, got there after 8am.
It was raining, but we managed to get to the improvised area for collecting our bags.
Guess who I saw standing with every other person: His Excellency, Peter Obi, immediate former Governor of Anambra State. There was no Policeman with him, No Aide, No Assistant, he was waiting with every other person to personally collect his bag.
Forgive my excitement, but it was strange to me. Unfortunately, we waited for almost 30mins. People freely went to greet him, take picture with him, nobody stopped them.
That was not all. I got my bag before him and outside was my driver waiting to take my bag. As we were driving out, I saw Peter Obi again, now carrying two bags on both hands and wandering about. Infact, I asked my driver, did you see that man? Did you recognize him as Peter Obi? My driver was as impressed as I was.
Some people might wave it off as a show by a Politician, but I said to myself: Even if this is a show, I like watching it.
Then I became sober. The question bothering my heart was: If you, Rev Okafor, were Peter Obi would you do what you just saw him doing? Honestly, I doubt that. And that is the lesson: To be humble and normal no matter the height one has reached in life. Always try to mingle with normal daily people, don't be detached. Also be good and you will not need someone carrying gun watching your back. God will exalt the humble, but he will bring down the proud and arrogant."
