Obiano orders police to close up compounds in Awka, nnewi , Onitsha and Ihiala

www.odogwublog.com reports that Governor Willie Obiano’s led administration does not play with dirty environment especially parks, markets and homes and therefore has ordered for a seal up should anyone fail to keep his compound clean.
This was contained in a public service announcement signed by Dr. Mrs Uju Nwogu, Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism Thursday.

Read the statement: ‘’In keeping with the state government's resolve to maintain a clean and healthy environment in all parts of the state, all tenants and landlords in the state particularly in urban communities of Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, Ekwulobia and ihiala are hereby directed to commence regular clean up of their surroundings.

‘’Government is not happy that inspite of the efforts it is making to ward off communicable diseases and ensure that ndi Anambra enjoy good healthy living conditions, some individuals are sabotaging such efforts with their dirty habits.

‘’Government recalls that it has repeatedly advised residents of the state to cut grasses and bushes around their premises, tidy up garbage and dump them in appropriate receptacles and clean up gutters but some people have chosen to ignore such advice.

‘’Once again, government is by this announcement directing that every house owner or tenant in the state should clean up gutters in their areas, tidy up garbages and cut grasses or bushes in their surroundings.

‘’Government has also directed law enforcement agencies to henceforth seal up houses which surroundings are adjudged to be untidy and likely to constitute health hazards to its occupants and their neighbours.

‘’Ndi Anambra, ka anyi debe ebe anyi bi ocha maka odi nma anyi n'agbata obi anyi.

‘’Cleanliness is next to Godliness.
