Jubilation as Paul University pays staff 3 months’ salary out 8 , set to pay off remaining 5 this month, as Odogwu Emeka Odogwu reflects

www.odogwublog.com reports exclusively that the wrath brought upon Paul University Awka by the out gone Vice Chancellor, Prof Gaius Igboeli  that led to the owing of workers for 8 months is giving way with a new Vice Chancellor, Prof Uche Charles Abanihe .
Odogwublog’s CEO/Chairman, Odogwu Emeka Odogwu got several calls from staff that were appreciative of the roles he played that led to the arrears to be in the front burner of the University’s priority….. that led to the payment ……
The action packed Vice Chancellor is set to offset the 5 months arrears before the end of this month as the institution expects accreditation team soonest.
They praised the new Vice Chancellor and the management of the University that belonged to Bishops of the five (5) ecclesiastical Provinces (currently comprising 55 Dioceses) of the Anglican Communion east of the Niger, whose vision to establish a novel University became a reality on November 3, 2009.
It may be proper to remind that in an effort to discover why the staff were owed salary for months , one of the Bishops  (names withheld by us) that own the University nearly cursed the CEO Odogwu Emeka Odogwu for investigating the matter and that caused a strained relationship between the Anglican Church and one of their own for some time now. But today our Chairman is happy for the workers of Paul University and the Bishops including the one that cursed or nearly cursed is happy the staff are happy …………..journalists are not enemies but gadflies and moral barometers and the earlier this is understood the better for the public……………..now they have paid and made progress, they won’t invite us to write but when issues are not ok , their ‘’suspected enemies would blow whistle ‘’

Before the Federal Polytechnic Oko story that led to my sack, the PRO of Paul University , Sir Ikechukwu Abana , former MD of ABS had written a stinker against me to my office which was published for them when a neophyte cub reporter muddled my story up. I wrote there was St Paul, Paul University and Theology as well as Mary Summer and even Secondary school managed by the Anglican communion at Awka and Nibo/Nise but a cub reporter editing The Nation Campus pages Wale Ajetomobi could not understand what I meant or cross check with me muddled up facts. He was in Lagos and I was here for them…….that would have sacked me but the person handled it was more responsive to defend his reporter and he asked me the true picture. I painted it and he realized where the miss up came from.
Today I am happy my struggle to get them paid have materialized and may Wale and co travelers shout again………………………..I am praying for staff of Federal Polytechnic Oko staff demonstration secondary school that are in a mess now as their salary is not even up to the pension alert they receive every month ….the text I have now from them from heir pension administrator, shows the pension  contribution is Dear……your RSA is credited with N26,549.69 as contr June 2015 . Your balance is N3,407,369.17 Thanks for choosing FGPL Tel 01-2715500-3   yet his or her salary is below N20,000 currently. Is this feasible to earn a pension contribution higher than your salary ……………………?

Meanwhile.  it was on that date that the University received, from the Federal Government, the License to operate as a full-fledged private University. This was followed by an inaugural ceremony on November 30, 2009 and had since propelled by the experience of its founding fathers in education.

The Vice Chancellor announced that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted the University full operational license. This happened since September 1 this year.
And new students and accreditation team are expected any moment this month.
