Being The Text Of An Interview With The Deputy President General, Igbo Northern States Delegate Assembly, North-West, Barrister Chris Nnoli In Kaduna.
Barrister Chris Nnoli  is a Kaduna based legal practitioner and President General Igbo Community Welfare Association, Kaduna state cum  Deputy President General Igbo Northern States Delegate Conference. In this interview with Walter Uba in Kaduna, he speaks of his believes in the present federal administration and other interesting national issues. Excerpt:

Q: Your name and designation, Sir?
Nnoli: Chris Nnoli, I am a lawyer in Kaduna and the President General, Igbo Community, Kaduna. Recently, I was elected Deputy President General, 19 Northern States Igbo Delegate Assembly, North-West. It is the umbrella body of all Igbos in Northern Nigeria

Q: Congratulations Sir. The federal administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is 100 days old, how is it?
Nnoli: The 100 days in office of President Muhammadu Buhari is so far, so good in some areas; while in some areas, there are some issues raised.
For instance, the President has done very well in his stand towards anti-corruption. His body language, actions and all the policies that he has put in place so far are very indicative that he has a very serious will to fight corruption. And to that extent, I think he has done very well, and for the fact that Buhari is in town like some people will like to say: “a new Sheriff is in town”, you begin to see a lot of things happen ------people come to work as early as they should, they think twice before they can even attempt to go into some deals that are improper and so many other things. I think that is very laudable and we want to encourage him to continue in that stead. Because, one of the biggest challenges this country has is corruption and if it is tackled, the problem of Nigeria will be almost solved as so much has been going down the drain as a result of corruption.
Even the power problem, by the time we fight corruption successfully, we will have power because a lot of things have gone very wrong due to corruption in that sector. And to that extent as said, I think he has done well. His cash policy with a single account for the state is among a lot of things that have been very commendable.
But we would want to say that, he has to follow Due Process in doing all the things he wants to do because we are in a democratic dispensation and no longer military; hence in everything he should do, the rule of law must be applied to carry everybody along including the whole world for it to be within the best practices internationally.
Walter Uba, Kaduna
