Happening Now: Gambler arrested at Liberty Hotel Awka for duping a 13 year old boy of over N35,000

 

 www.odogwublog.com reports that a gambler Elochukwu Chukwu from Ebonyi who specializes in using charms and threats to collect money from teenagers was yesterday arrested by civilians and beaten to stupor before being handed over to the police.
His regular victim Chijioke Okeke from Umubele Awka is a student of St Mary’s Secondary school Awka. The 13 year old boy informed that the suspect always hold his palms and continuously rob him after which he would ask him to go and bring money.

This he does on a daily basis that his mother became suspicious as whenever he goes inside the shop either one thousand or more will disappear and set trap for him. He was caught red handed and he confessed.
Last week N5,000 disappeared and today some youths asked the mother to allow him collect N1,000 which they signed and copied the number. The boy took the money to the suspect who collected the money without the game he alleged the young boy plays with him but went straight to buy clothes before he was apprehended and the money confirmed to be that given to him by the boy.
They took him to Liberty hotel backyard and beat the hell out of him. Youths from every quarter arrived trying to get a pound of flesh out of him with him wailing and yelling begging for mercy. He was later whisked away by the police who added some insult to his injury. ………….details later
