Dr Nkem Okeke, Deputy Governor Anambra woos more investors

Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Nkem Okeke, has called for more investment in the state.
He made this known when a team of investors from Italy, China and Turkey, led by Mr. Tony Okowa, paid him a courtesy visit in his office at Government House, Awka.
Dr. Okeke who represented Gov. Willie Obiano said that investment is a way of creating more jobs for unemployed individuals in the state.
He noted that every state would like to embark on such projects due to its ability of generating revenue for development.
The Deputy Governor also pointed out that Anambra would soon become a logistics center where every other investor would like to come and invest, adding that this is a policy that would boost the state.
Dr. Okeke prayed for the actualization of such dream through the governor’s idea and mission to develop the state up to standard.
Earlier, the Managing Director, Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA), Mr. Joe Ekwunife revealed that the investor has agreed on the modalities to achieve positive result.
Mr. Ekwunife asked for the state government co-operation and advised them to maintain their promise in working hard in their terms.
He added that the team would repeat their visit in a couple of weeks to finalize their mission with the state government which would determine their faith.
Also speaking, Mr. Tony Okowa, who led the team, explained that the investors targeted on constructing Cargo Airport in the state which would also make the state a commercial city among other states in the country.
Mr. Okowa highlighted that if such is achieved,it would enable people travel from place to place and others from all walks of life to come into the state and do businesses without much stress, adding that all these are part of development.
In his vote of thanks, Mr. Ekene Enefe, thanked the investors for finding Anambra State a safe place for investment and looked forward for more successful business ground.
