Despite huge amount of money invested in the Enugu State Broadcasting Service( ESBS ),by the past administration , the station does not cover some parts of the state and those who receive the signals complain about the programme packaging which they said does not reflect the culture of the people of Enugu state.

The State governor,  Rt. Hon  Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is also worried over the state of
affairs of the station.

He observed that the station’s service signals lacked wide coverage as they were not received in some  remote villages, especially Nsukka, adding that this denies the people their right to know about government activities and programmes and forestalls the expected feedback from them.

The governor who was speaking at the station while on an unscheduled visit assured that his administration would assist the ESBS financially and otherwise to ensure increase in the energizing of the station for efficient and effective service delivery and the actualization of wider coverage of the radio and television of the broadcasting service.

Governor Ugwuanyi who was taken round the station by its Managing Director, Mr Jika Ato, also noted that there is a need to increase the local contents of the station for the promotion of our cultural
heritage.

He inspected the three studios in the station, conference room and the control room.
