Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, on Thursday, emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the December 5 poll.
He was chosen at the primaries of the party held at the Samson Siasia Stadium.
Declaring the result of the primaries in which Dickson was the sole candidate, Chairman of the PDP Electoral Panel and Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose said the incumbent polled 447 votes.
A total of 476 delegates led by former President Goodluck Jonathan were listed for the exercise.

Meanwhile, in what may be considered as their first public meeting after the 2015 general elections, Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, on Thursday, met with former President Goodluck Jonathan in his ancestral home, Bayelsa State.
Both chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), met at the venue of the party’s Bayelsa governorship primary election, being conducted by Fayose.
