Erstwhile Commander of the 301 Artillery Regiment (General Support) Gombe, General Abraham Dusu, has been appointed the Commander, 33 Artillery Brigade,‎ Shadawanka Military Cantonment, Bauchi.
In a statement by the Assistant Director, Army Public Relations of the Brigade, Captain Jonah Danjuma, it said the new Commandant took over from Brigadier General James Myam who was redeployed to the Defence Headquarters Abuja.
According to the statement, Dusu, has since assume command of the Brigade after the handing over ceremony held at the Shadawanka Military Cantonment in Bauchi.

General Dusu, while a Lieutenant Colonel, was one of the survivors of a September 17, 2006 Dornier 228 plane crash, in which 13 military officers lost their lives.
Dusu and then Lt. Co. N.E. Angbazo, who survived the deadly crash, were at that time flown abroad for further medical treatment, via a chartered air ambulance aircraft from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. They had earlier been receiving treatment at National Hospital, Abuja.
Also recall that former President Olusegun Obasanjo, had at that time, constituted a six-man panel to probe the crash.
Meanwhile, General Angbazo is now Nigeria’s Defence Adviser to Chad.
