A’Ibom PDP faults APC over election claims

The Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the PDP has cautioned the Lai Mohammed over his comments on the matter before state governorship election petitions tribunal sitting in Abuja.

In a statement by the state Chairman of the PDP, Obong Paul Ekpo, and made available to journalists yesterday in Uyo, the party faulted the statement credited to Mohammed in his press briefing in Abuja in which decried the recent solidarity visit to Akwa Ibom by the National leadership of the PDP over the DSS raid of the state’s Government house.

Ekpo claimed that Mohammed lacked the capacity to dabble into the issue as the visit of the PDP to one of the states under its control is within the rights of the leaders and stakeholders of the party.

On the pending matter before the tribunal, the PDP advised Mohammed to refrain from making unguarded statements and claims over a matter which is subjudice and which he knows little or nothing about.
