He further requested the government to stop the activities of the group before it consumes the community.

Obodoechina, an orphan struggling to finish his education at Oko Polytechnic enrolled into vigilante services to assist sanitize evil in his community but the group allegedly saw him as a threat to their way of life and determined to snuff of his life by cutting him up with machete until he lost consciousness.
The youths including Sunday Ughanwa, Papa Ezikel, Ikechukwu Ughanwa, Ndubisi Okafor, Chijioke Dinyelu, Longinus Ekweonu , Aboy Okoye , Chibuzo Okafor  and others had waylaid him and nearly killed him.
Obodoechina alleged that the group came to his house on a tipper driven by Christian Ekweazu with dagger, axe, and bottles and beat him up using the dangerous weapons which left him with cuts and he bled to coma.
He said: ‘’They struck me down thinking I have died judging by the quantum of blood gushing from my head. They are cultists and we came to know of their clandestine activities in 2012. My problem with them started when we as members of Vigilante group in the community recovered one Qlink Motorcycle from them which they stole and brought to the community in 2013.
‘’But because I was the one who discovered the stolen motorcycle and brought it ot Vigilante office before it was handed over to the police in Achalla. They started threatening me that they would kill me. I reported the matter to the police and efforts to arrest them at Ebenebe community in the house of their alleged native  doctor one Augustine (Ogoo) Agbafuna alias Anataike’’.

‘’These people are cultists and I did my duty as a vigilante member without intimidating them but confiscating a stolen motorcycle and handing over to the police as stipulated by law only to be under threat and as if it was only threat they carried out their threat and hit me hard and almost killed me but God saved me. They first attacked me on 28th November 2013 and ran to their native doctor godfather who is boasting that nobody would do anything to them or arrest any of his boys. Anataike has been hiding them from police arrest and even fought police last Wednesday as they came to make some arrests. He insisted police would not arrest any of them and they went back to do reinforcement but unfortunately did not return.
‘’This act by Agbafune is emboldening our youths into evil and about 80 percent of our `youths are being misled by such acts of cultism and covetousness ‘’.
