THREE REASONS WHY WANDE COAL’S NEXT ALBUM MIGHT BE A HIT

Wande “coal” Ojosipe is a multitalented Nigerian musician with one of the best musical resumes around, from award winning songs, to ground breaking collabos, wande has become a force to reckon with in the Nigerian music industry. The last album we had from wande coal was in 2009 when he dropped the evergreen mushin to mohits(M2M) album with some tracks still splitting the airwaves. Its almost 6years now and wande’s new album is almost ready. Can he beat the M2M record? Was his last album a hit because of the Don jazzy touch/factor? Is wande a one album wonder?all this questions remain unanswered until we get a copy of the forthcoming album and here are a few reason why the black diamond’s sophomore album might be a hit..

He cuts through all genres
Wande is your sure performer and hit maker any day, anytime, anywhere, be it techno, hip-hop, afro  pop, afro hip hop, afro beat, reggae, fuji, Rnb, gospel e.t.c. So I basically would not be surprised if he gives his fans a feel of some of this genres or a fusion of 2 or more to assure us of that versatility he has always been known for. Just like I always wanna refer to him as a combination of Nate dogg, akon and usher or as a full dose of Banky, iyanya and wizkid. Although many has criticized him saying his M2M album wouldn’t have been a hit if he had more than one producer on it, but I firmly disagree with that school of thought. His recent songs should be able to answer his critics on this..Baby hello was produced by Maleek berry, Ashimapeyin by Sarz, Aye dun by Shizzi, Amorawa by Leriq(the 3 As) what else do u want from the black diamond? I would still keep my fingers crossed for the perfect  love song that would sound better than “ololufe on this one.
He is not your average act
Wande is not your everyday Nigerian act, he doesn’t sound like anyone, simply unique. From his boy soprano, to his incomparable tenor, his high quality vocal timbre and song writing prowess. Unlike many other acts who have clones or other artistes that sound like them wande has none. From being groomed by one of the best producers in Nigeria(Don jazzy) to performing with the biggest artistes across the continent and beyond on major shows and events, winning numerous awards. He is also one of the very few Nigerian acts to have gotten massive support, sales and airplay for a debut album. Do you remember the CV mo hits album? wande’s voice was virtually on almost every track on that album, ranging from hooks to back up vocals and he also made an appearance on the solar plexus compilation album. In 6years wande has dropped single after single, freestyle after freestyle, minor hits and major hits, don’t u think he is going to beat the mushin to mohits record even without jazzy? Only time will tell.

He still has the love and loyalty of his fans
Although after wande’s fall out with Mo Hits/Mavins many people felt he would never be able to maintain his place as an A class artiste. He struggled over the years to maintain his status which many felt had dropped a bit, but one thing remains constant we all still love the music part of wande coal take it or leave it. Wherever you hear or see Wande coal’s songs  u must be filled with excitement and always begging for more, he constantly blows your mind away, from his stage craft to his soothing voice and choice of songs and lyrics that cuts across the old ,middle aged and the youths. From weddings, social events and your local radio/tv shows he remains a household name that would never be forgotten in a hurry. As wande puts up finishing touches to his new album everyone would want to own a copy of it with their ears itching to hear an album we have waited this long to get.
