Roman based NGO Provides Free Medicare to Over 1000 patients in Anambra

www.odogwublog.com reports that a Roman based Non Governmental Organization, Opera Bonifacio Azione Verde has commenced a one week free treatment of all ailments in the three senatorial zones of Anambra state.
The health group said they came to Nigeria with quality drugs that can treat all forms of sicknesses ranging from malaria, typhoid, dysentery, acute diarrhoea, eye problems, pneumonia and common cold among others. 
The leader of the group, Rev. Father Boniface Duru disclosed this to newsmen in Awka, Anambra State when he led a team of medical doctors and other members of the group to the office of the State commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Akabuike.

Fr. Dunu further stated that the group had been coming for medical mission in Imo State Nigeria for more than 13 years but this time, decided to expand their frontiers by honouring the invitation of the Anambra State government, adding that over 500 Nigerian children are enjoying the group’s scholarship while they have built a gigantic university of Science and Technology in Imo State.

“Gov. Obiano’s good work, especially in the area of health through the State Health commissioner, Dr. Joe Akabuike is the main reason why we willed this year’s mission to the State because we believe that no nation can work very well if the working society is not healthy” he snapped.

Responding, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Akabuike thanked the foreign based health group for the good works they are doing in Nigeria, which he said, informed the decision of the State governor, Chief Willie Obiano in extending his hand of fellowship to them.

He said that the State government will give them necessary support needed to provide free medicare in the Nanka, Ogidi and Aguleri General hospitals in Anambra South, Central and North respectively.
“We are always happy especially when we have people that will help in the actualization of the government’s four pillars of industrialization, mechanized agriculture, trade and commerce and oil and gas, including the enablers” he said.
Fr Duru
