After reading the charges to the accused persons they pleaded not guilty. Their Lawyer Barrister Ikenna Udoji who led a team of other lawyers asked the court to grant all the accused bail on liberal grounds.
In his ruling, Chief Magistrate A.O. Nwankwo granted the accused bail on strict condition with the sum of N100,000.00 each with two sureties who will deposit their passport in the court and adjourned the case to October 13th for hearing.
New Telegraph findings showed that the accused persons allegedly came into the said land that already has a court of appeal judgement in favour of the other party and flagrantly served them with Ogwugwuakpu Shrine summons to appear there for a case that has already been decided at the appellate court.
Our further findings showed that the invitation letter from the Okija Shrine was signed by the Chief Priest who goes by the name Chief Ogbudaa meaning a person who kills everyday. We gathered also that this invitation elicited the anger of the other party who reported them to the Police who then arrested them and charged them to court.
