Obiano’s aide says Anambra State is the fastest developing State and advancing State in Nigeria

Anambra has been ranked as one of fastest developing and advancing states in the country.
Speaking to journalists in Awka, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Environment, Dr. Amechi Ekume, said the State has positive growth indices in all the key sectors.
Dr. Ekume noted that in spite of the rough roads towards survival and various challenges over the years, the state has emerged stronger, with promising future prospects.
He explained that the state has excelled in infrastructural development and has become a model other state are looking up to in crime fighting, as Governor Willie Obiano has done exceptionally well in routing criminals from the state.
The Special adviser called for collective efforts and positive change of attitude to support the present efforts of the Governor to institutionalize and consolidate the principles of good governance.

Dr. Ekume urged youths to take advantage of the various opportunities created by the present administration to actualize their aspiration.

In his reaction, the member representing Anambra East and West in the House of Representatives, Mr. Peter Mmadubueze said the state has sustained progressive development and has made commendable achievements.   
Mr Mmadubueze noted that each successive government strived to surpass its predecessor which, he observed, has set a bar that inspires dedication and commitment.
He said the state is likely to have a people-oriented Governor, like Chief Willie Obiano who, he said, is piloting the affairs of the state in the right direction in a holistic and structural approach.
