Obiano was the best Corps Member in Benue state as he hosts 2012 to 2014 NYSC Award holders from Anambra

www.odogwublog.com reports that Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state has said his government is focused on creating the enabling environment for youths in the state to break new frontiers of excellence in various spheres of human existence.                
Governor Obiano stated this when he received 9 awardees of Anambra origin who won the NYSC Presidential Honours from 2012 to 2014, who called on him in his country home, Aguleri in Anambra East Council Area.            
The 9 Ndi Anambra Awardees were among the final 164 Corps Members selected out of the total 700 nominated for the NYSC Presidential Awards between the years 2012 and 2014.                   
They were earlier this year hosted by former President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja where they were offered Post-Graduate Scholarships, automatic employment with the Federal Civil Service and cash awards.            
 Governor Obiano who acknowledged that Ndi Anambra are distinguishing themselves in various areas of life, expressed delight that Anambra registered the highest number of representation in the Award list.                            
While reliving his experience as the best Corps member during his service year in Benue State, Governor Obiano called on Corps Members to always put in their best in the development of their host communities so as to guarantee the realization of the lofty ideals of the Scheme.                
Commending the Awardees for making the state proud, Governor Obiano promised that the State Government will readily offer automatic employment to any of them who would wish to work with the State Civil Service.      
                   Earlier, the State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Chief Tony Nnachetta reminded the Awardees that having become worthy ambassadors of the State by distinguishing themselves as former Corps Members, the onus lies on them to sustain the feat in their future endeavours.                  
The Leader of the delegation, Mr Elochukwu Onyekwelu who served in Kogi State, explained that the visit was to present themselves and their awards to the Governor as a father and to seek his support in bringing the Federal Government's promises to them to fruition.                  
  In a vote of thanks, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs Robinca Odigwe thanked Governor Obiano for his efforts towards encouraging Corps Members serving in the State towards excellence, describing him as a great inspiration and motivator to Youths in the State.                       
 The Awardees were later treated to a warm reception and lunch with the Governor.
