Mourinho's men lose at home to Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have not beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge since 1980, and it was Jose Mourinho's 100th home game in charge, losing just one match.

No one expected this to happen. But Crystal Palace with a certain Bakary Sako on fire, Alan Pardew's men defiled all odds to take three points from Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea's defense has been their weak link this season, and their dismal performance continued in the home loss to Palace.

Kurt Zouma coming in for the suspended John Terry had a penalty appeal turned down when it appeared his shirt had been pulled as he leapt for a corner but Palace showed signs that they were not there to play as Sako struck a fierce shot which was cleared by Thibaut Courtois.

The best chance of the goalless first half came when Wilfried Zaha turned past Nemanja Matic to roll the ball to Yohan Cabaye who shot tamely for Courtois to save.

Palace came put stronger again in the second half as Chelsea's right back Branislav Ivanovic continued to be a suspect.

Sako displayed top notch athleticism clear a Gary Cahill header of his line and running to the other end of the pitch to open scoring for Palace.

The forward got on a cut back from Yannick Bolasieouare, his first effort was blocked by César Azpilicueta but it fell kindly to him to slot into the net.

Palace should have doubled their lead after the impressive Sako delivered a perfect cross into the path of Bolasie who had raced in at the far post ahead of Ivanovic.

The winger had the goal at his mercy but his shot went high and wide to the relief of Chelsea.

Chelsea got their equaliser from Radamel Falcao who got his head to a beautiful cross from Pedro.
Many would expect Chelsea to go get the winner at this point but Palace had other ideas.

Bolasie picked out Sako who was unmarked at the backpost, before he cut the ball back into the part of Joel Ward who bent low to head in the winner for Palace.
