Many Nigerian politicians are irresponsible - Ex-Speaker

                                             
Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ghali Na’abba, has said that many Nigerian politicians are “highly irresponsible’’.

Na’abba also said that the continued security challenges in the country were largely due to successive irresponsible leadership.

He made the comments on Monday, August 17, 2015, at a National Security Conference in Abuja, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

Na’abba also said that the appointment and election of the leadership in the country had been hijacked by a few people.

“No politician should promote persons of questionable character, sycophants for leadership positions,” he said.

Na’abba also said that as long as responsible people stay away from politics, quality leadership would continue to be an illusion in the country.
