Maja Umeh hosts Obiano, Oye and Obi in his residence for 2015 iliji Okwoaka Amichi

www.odogwublog.com reports that Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state, National Chairman of APGA Chief Victor Oye, the State Chairman of APGA, Sir Nobert Obi, as well as the Speaker Anambra state House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Rita Maduegwu, will be played host by the former Commissioner for Information and Culture, Chief Maja Umeh.

The venue is his compound at Amichi and the time is 12 noon on 5th September, 2015.
Others to be hosted are the Hon. Commissioner for Local Govt, Hon. Grey Obi, the Nnewi South Chairman, Sir Fred Odukwe among other political appointees and elected officials in the local government.

   
www.odogwublog.com reports further that Okwoaka Amichi celebrates his Iliji 6 days after the official Iwaji by Igwe Amichi. 
Last year, Chief Maja Umeh who is also the Anya Amichi used the celebration to receive the trophy won by the African and West African Cultural Award winning group BIJEK GROUP.

Chief Umeh dedicated the trophy to St. Paul’s Seminary, Ukpor and Late Monsignor Maduka of Ekwuloba in appreciation of their contributions to Igbo Cultural development.
During the ceremony too, Chief Umeh announced his intention to run for Anambra South Senatorial seat.
   
The ceremony will commence with a Holy Mass to be concelebrated by a host of priests followed by Cultural displays and reception for party office Holder.

On the title Okwoaka, he said, “Okwoaka Amichi is my grandfather’s title, so I am sitting on my grandfather’s throne. Is a mark of nobility, it’s a throne of nobility in Amichi.”

Last year’s event climax was the paying of homage to the Okwoaka which saw groups and individuals, including the royals bringing gifts to his feet while he sat on his noble seat and blessed them as they came. Indeed Chief umeh is the quintessential Senator Anambra South senatorial zone is waiting for.
