The Nigerian Police Command in Anambra State yesterday paraded 27 suspects, including three female members of the Vikings confraternity secret cult group who have been terrorizing various communities in the state.
Also paraded were one serving policeman, Peter Iloh from Amaeke Ede in Enugu State and Nicholas Ogbuanu dismissed from the force since 2005.

Speaking to newsmen in interview, Iloh who said he served in Imo State Police Command, led an armed gang to terrorize and rob people in Imo and Anambra States, as well as supplying arms to criminals.
Karma used the opportunity to thank Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State for his unrelenting assistance to police,  other sister agencies for their co-operation, even as he urged members of the public not to relent their efforts in giving useful information that will help the police track down criminals.

Parading the suspects at the command headquarters, Amawbia, the State Commissioner of Police (CP) Hassan H. Karma said they were involved in armed robbery, cultism, impersonation among other crimes, and have made useful statements to the police, adding that investigations are still going on.
He said three notorious queen mothers of the Vikings confraternity members; Amanda Joel, Chioma Anijue and Chidinma Alisi from Abia and Imo states respectively were arrested while trying to initiate new members into their secret cult society at Eziowelle town in Idemili North Council area of Anambra Satte.
According to the CP, Chukwubuike Orakwute and Chukwudi Ebeniyi were also arrested in connection with the killing of one late Nonso Onunkwo on June 20, this year. “The suspects hired the motorcycle of late Onunkwo, a member of the Black Axe Confraternity cult and killed him. They have volunteered useful statements to the police, while one battle axe, two cutlasses and other dangerous weapons were recovered from them from their Ugamuma Village in Obosi, Idemili North council”.
He said others arrested from various communities in the state for involving in cult activities include, Kenechukwu Ewegwalibe, Abuchi Chimelieze, Okechukwu Metu, all males, while items recovered from them were some quantity of weeds suspected to be marijuana. He said although one Ifechukwu and others were on the run, efforts is on to arrest them.
He further said a deadly gang of Armed robbers led by Onyebuchukwu Okonkwo and ten others who have been terrorizing people at Enugu ukwu, Nimo and Nwafia were arrested at Enugwu Ukwu this month, just as he described them as a ‘dangerous gang’ who were also members of the village confraternity secret cult.
