With the theme “The Role of Productivity in the Change Agenda” the permanent secretary said innovations have been introduced in preparation for the event, apparently to enhance the participation of all stakeholders to ensure that success is achieved.
He said that opportunity would be provided for the exhibition of made-in-Nigeria goods by manufacturers, small and medium scale industrialists, as well as past and present winners of the merit award.
Earlier, the Director General of the Center, Mr. Kashim Akor, said the theme of the 2015 celebration as mentioned above was carefully chosen, considering the change agenda of the present government of Muhammadu Buhari and the quest for Nigeria to be one of the 20 largest economy in Nigeria.
He admitted that the development of the National Policy of Productivity had created great conditions for rapid and sustained productivity growth in all sectors, as it had provided a systematic and comprehensive roadmap for an increased productivity in both public and private sectors of the economy.
