Fear as 70-yr-old pastor commits suicide

                                                                        
A 70-year-old man of God identified as Pastor Olufade Folayinmi, has committed suicide by hanging himself on Owakurudu Road, in the Ijebu Ode area of Ogun State.

His church members were shocked when they found him dangling from a ceiling fan in his apartment on Monday, August 17.

It was gathered that some church members found the pastor at about 2 pm and alerted policemen from the Igbeba division who moved in to bring him down.

No one could tell the reasons the pastor killed himself as he did not leave any suicide note.

A member of his church narrated the shocking discovery:

“It was a shocking discovery. The pastor was found hanging to the ceiling fan. Nobody knew why he took that action.

The family and church members still rushed him to a nearby hospital, but the doctors confirmed him dead.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident, adding that the corpse had been released to the family after a post mortem.

“The pastor was found hanging to the ceiling. The corpse has been released to the family after a post mortem. The case was handled by the policemen from Igbeba.”
