Exclusive:Peter Obi unites Agulu women, gives them N5 Million, gives 25 buses to Agulu youths, Igwe in council too

www.odogwublog.com CEO/MD Odogwu Emeka Odogwu was shocked when he entered Agulu Peoples Union meeting at Agulu town union and met Governor Peter Obi addressing the community.
I was not told that Obi , former Governor of Anambra state would be addressing them by the National President of Agulu Peoples Union (APU) Sir Paulinus Aniagboso Isimmiri Agulu and I swung into action hearing what Obi was saying.
But he politely asked me to stay away because it is a family affair. I obeyed because apart from he is my former Governor, I enjoyed numerous privileges under him as a Governor as state correspondent of Champion Newspaper and later correspondent for The Nation Newspaper before serving as a Deputy Chairman in the local government. I knew what he meant by that and I disappeared. But the urge to hear what he wanted to say that a journalists should not hear grew.
To worsen my situation, Isimiri asked me not to do any work until we get to the traditional ruler’s palace for the celebration of New Yam festival and conferment of honours on illustrious Agulu citizens. I obeyed but after a while shouts of praises of Obi erupted the air and I ran back to the hall.
I stole two quick shots and the former Governor again asked me not to and I left for real but from outside where I was I could not but put down three things that happened inside the hall.
Before you could say Obi, he settled a serious rift between women in the community and they assured him of towing the part of peace for the unity of the community. And on that note he gave them assurances of bringing empowerment to Agulu as he demands nothing from anybody.
Is this against journalism that a former Governor gave 20 youths from the 20 villages of Agulu buses to ply transport business as Agulu Peoples Union Mass Transit and a brand new bus for Igwe in council to use. He paid for its registration and insurance for one year.
He did not stop there, he gave over 200 women N5 Million to share which means each village should get 12 women to get N20,000 each for petty trading. He restated that it is not for politics. Obi insisted that if peace and love exist in Agulu, then soonest they would be surprised at what he would do for the people and appeal to other wealthy Agulu citizens to so. But warned that should there be crisis , he would disappear as he dislikes argument and fighting.
President General of Women  wing of APU, Lady Theresa Akubueze and CEO Iruka bread and former Chairman of Onitsha South, Lady Ann Chukwuneke and the President General of APU , Chief Aniagboso received the symbolic cheques alongside other prominent Agulu citizens. He later gave kola of N250,000 for all in attendance to take as kola.
At the palace of Igwe Obodoakor, Obi donated a bus and waited for other guests to arrive  for the Iwa ji festival , thereby ending the stigma of betrayal Igwe Obodoakor gave him when he gave support to another rather than his brother during the last Governorship election……………………….
