Driver dies inside fuel tanker while stealing diesel

                                          
In his bid to make some fast money, a fuel tanker conductor has ended his life untimely after he crept into a parked tanker to steal diesel as he fell into the tank and died in the process.

The sad incident happened at a filling station located along the Asaba-Onitsha express way in Delta State in the night of Tuesday, August 25.

According to witnesses, the conductor who had accompanied his driver to offload the product, sneaked into the tank in the dead of night with some rubbers kegs to scoop the fuel but apparently fell inside and died.

The unfortunate incident was only discovered in the morning when his driver and other colleagues launched a manhunt for him when he was nowhere to be found. It took the assistance of men of the Delta State Fire Service to cut open a part of the tanker to bring out the dead body of the conductor.
