Breaking News:ASUDEB demolishes houses, fences and security apartments at Trans- Nkisi, Onitsha

 www.odogwublog.com reports exclusively that there was tension and palpitation of hearts at Trans-Nkisi Phase 3 Onitsha when the Anambra state Urban Development Board (ASUDEB) demolished many buildings and fences put up by recalcitrant developers in Trans-Nkisi Phase 3 Onitsha.
Acting General Manager ASUDEB, Mr Nathan Enemou who led the demolition exercise,  warned that ASUDEB will not leave any stone unturned in demolition all houses and fences as well as security houses that contravened the stipulations of the development of the layout.
Mr Enemou encouraged any developer that wants any land to go to ministry of lands and get necessary documents and visit ASUDEB for approval of the building plan before embarking on development.

He said :‘’Government acquired the place and allotted it to different members of the public but unfortunately some unscrupulous people went and connived with land speculators to balkanize and deface the layout of the Trans Nkisi Phase 3 Onitsha. But we would not allow that. Any building that is not approved will go down in line with the police of the state government. 

‘’ We will leave no stone unturned to ensure that there is sanity in land development in the state henceforth in line with the Governor Willie Obiano’s vision and mission in developing the state like Dubai.

 ‘’ASUDEB noticed the massive sale of government acquired land and we decided to give those that acquired land illegally two weeks to remove the illegal buildings and fences as well as security houses but they failed hence our enforcement team was on the sites to demolish them at their expense. We are not leaving any building untouched but you know we can’t finish it today hence it is a continuous exercise until the war against illegal structures is fought and won, there would be no rest.

www.odogwublog.com quotes ASUDEB Boss further as saying: ‘’We are warning land speculators and recalcitrant developers to desist from selling government layouts as ASUDEB would not hesitate from demolition any illegal structures or illegal land acquired by anybody no matter how highly placed. We encourage developers to go to ASUDEB to get genuine documents and they should shun cutting corners in registering their land documents to avoid falling victims of racketeers.
Mr Enemuo further regretted that many developers build on water channels without proper set back as allowed by law and insisted that anybody that built on water channel would have his structure demolished when his monitoring team visits.
He said the exercise is for all the layouts in Anambra state and estates but they started from Nkisi Phase 3 and would soon visit all the other estates, and government layouts already abused by developers.
