www.odogwublog.com reports that an unidentified helicopter has plunged into the lagoon behind Oworonsoki Police Station in Lagos, South-West Nigeria.
Officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in conjunction with the police and locals recovered four bodies from the scene during rescue operations.
The incident occurred at about 3pm. The chopper was coming from the Ikeja axis of the state but made a loud noise before nose-diving into the Oworonsoki end of the Lagos Lagoon.
Twelve people were on board the chopper but only six survived the crash. The two remaining passengers are yet to be found.
