The All Progressives Congress (APC) is said to currently be in talks with former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke to convince him to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling party.
Duke has however not communicated his final decision to the APC leadership, according to ThisDay.
“The national leaders of APC and Duke have been talking, but I cannot really say what has been agreed. But, Duke’s former Chief of Staff, James Aniyom, will be received into the APC,” a source, who chose to remain anonymous, said.
APC leaders, including Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo will reportedly welcome PDP defectors from the state into the ruling party at the end of August.
