Anambra Police Nabs Fake Visa Vendor

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Police in Anambra State has arrested a-31-year-old Igwe Emmanuel Obi from Umuhu-Okabia, Osu Local Government Area of Imo for issuing his unsuspecting victims with fake Visa and other related travelling documents.
The Police detective attached with Okpoko Police Division, Ogbaru Council Area of the State made the arrest after a victim complained.
The suspect was lured to Onitsha from his Abuja base through whatasp by one of the sisters of his most recent victim.
The suspect, popularly known as Obeleagu at about three years ago, allegedly obtained the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand (N150, 000. 00) Naira only from his present victim and booted away to unknown destination.
Luck ran against him when the owner of the said amount mounted serious hunt of him by extending the phone number of the accused fraudster to one of his sisters who started chatting with Obelegau on Whatsap.
The charming face, attracted the accused fake visa vendor who drove himself from Abuja to Onitsha to fun with her Whatsap lady without knowing that it was a trap to arrest him.
When it was eventually established that he was coming to Onitsha, the victim contacted the police at Okpoko Police Division and he was ambushed. It was learnt that in an attempt to arrest him, he made several efforts to escape but with the special assistance of the men of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, at the Niger Bridgehead he was finally apprehended.
Confessing to the crime, Igwe Emmanuel Obi said he actually collected money from his victim, stating that he has before the money was given to him, issued a man who introduced him to his latest victim with genuine visa and was not paid hence he seized the amount given to him in place of the first visa issued without pay.
“My brother, I am a drop out of Lagos State University, I dropped at 300 level and I was reading Mass Communication before I and over thirty other students were expelled for our involvement in cultism. I have promised to balance them back and I have Fifty Thousand (N50, 000) Naira in my account. I will deposit my car in the police station and go to look for the remaining balance” He pleaded.
Effort made to reach the Divisional Police Officer of the Division as at the time of filing this report was not fruitful as he was said to have travelled to Awka for the South East Zonal Security Submit that was attended by the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase.
