Anambra Lawmaker empowers 1,000

www.odogwublog.com reports that the joy of the people of Anaocha two constituencies in Anambra State knew no bounds on Monday as their representative in the state House of Assembly, Honourable Charles Ezeani of the Peoples Democratic Party flagged off an economic empowerment programme on fish farming.
    The beneficiaries made up of youths, the aged and the disabled numbered over one thousand to tap from the wealth of knowledge of key lecturers on the dynamics of fish farming.
    Speaking on the constituency project designed to encourage the participants to be self employed and financial independent at the Neni town hall, Chief Ezeani charged his constituents to take advantage of the programme to embrace farming and start their own businesses.
    According to the lawmaker, his target is to train, package the youths and the unemployed for the proper funding by banks he has formed partnership with to start their business.
    Chief Ezeani disclosed that his programme of economic empowerment for his constituency will span four years of his legislative mandate with the project for next year to be targeted at piggery with guest speakers selected for the training exercise.
    Delivering a lecture on how to start a new business and being one’s own boss, a guest lecturer, Mr. Isaac Akwara spoke extensively on fish farming and its gains in the modern society.
    Mr. Akwara listed some key success to business to include hardwork, compulsory daily ten percent savings of proceeds, among others.
    He stressed that participants stand to gain a lot from the guest lecturers like the medical doctor who lectured on fish farming.
