Anambra CD Elects New Exco, Vows To Continue Fight Against Injustice

An eight-man executive has been elected by the Anambra State  Chapter of Campaign for Democracy, CD, to pilot the affairs of the body for the next three consecutive years.
The immediate past chairman, Mr. Vincent Ezekweme was re-elected to serve the body for a second tenure while Comrade Ekene Nnadi was elected the Vice Chairman.
 Others were, Tobias Maduakor – Secretary, Chibuzo Ibe - Assistant Secretary, Ona Zacheus - Financial Secretary, Uzozie Augustin - Treasurer, Francis Nwoye - PRO and Mr. Augustina Maduakor - Welfare.
The South-East chairman of CD, Dede Uzor A. Uzor, who saw to the smooth conduct of the election with the assistance of the Returning Officer, Comrade Nwanga Chukwuma, described the election as transparent and democratic.
Uzor said, “we used the option A4 system to ensure transparency and the expectation is that the new executive will continue to strive for a better society and we will not relent in fighting corruption”.
In his post-election speech, the new chairman pledged to continue to fight corruption adding that his achievements spoke for him during the election.
Highlight of the event was a lecture earlier held for the members by Charles Ejefonye, a resource person, titled, ‘method for exerting influence on the system that deny us our rights’.
