Anambra Assembly passes confidence vote on Obiano’s administration

www.odogwublog.com reports that the Anambra State House of Assembly has unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Governor Willie Obiano’s administration as he marks his sixtieth birthday on the eight of August, 2015.

The motion acknowledging his sixty years of sojourn on earth was sponsored by Sir Peter Ibida representing Njikoka two constituency, Honourable Vivian Okadigbo representing Oyi constituency and twenty six other members of the state Assembly.

The main thrust of the faith in the governor was anchored on the giant strides he made especially in the area of security and infrastructural development.

Speaking to the press in Awka after the Assembly plenary sitting, the member resenting Oyi constituency in the state Assembly Honourable Okadigbo described the governor as a great achiever and philanthropist who under two years of his administration, has made great impact in the development of the state and her constituency which has long been neglected over the years.

Honourable Okadigbo gave kudos to the governor for making the lives of the people of the state secure through his sound security network and flagging off some road projects in her constituency.
The legislator announced that the Ogbunike cave project is ongoing and will be completed in good time.

According to her, the state legislature will continue to support the governor to move the state to the next level.

On his part, the deputy majority leader of the state Assembly, Mr. Paschal Agbodike said the governor has excelled tremendously especially in the area of the prompt payment of workers salaries which has enhanced a good industrial relations between the state government and the trade unions in the state.
