Advertising Association Boss in Nigeria Mr Babatunde Idowu visits ABS MD/CEO Uche Nworah for partnership in sensitizing Outdoor Advertising Practitioners in Anambra State

www.odogwublog.com exclusively gathered that the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) will partner the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) and the Anambra State Signage & Advertising Agency (ANSAA) in sensitizing advertising practitioners and other stakeholders in the state.

ABS will also assist in sensitizing on the relevant outdoor advertising practitioners code of ethics, and the provisions of the Anambra state outdoor advertising and signage Act.

The MD/CEO of ABS, Mr Uche Nworah said this during discussions with officials of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) led by their newly elected President, Mr Babatunde Idowu, General Secretary, Femi Ogala and the MD of Anambra State Signage & Advertising Agency (ANSAA), Mr Jude Emecheta who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Awka on Thursday, August 20, 2015.

Mr Nworah advised the visitors on the need to intensify outdoor advertising regulation in Nigeria so as to rid the industry of unlicensed practitioners.

Mr Jude Emecheta, the MD of ANSAA said that the agency is repositioning its operations in Anambra state and urged practitioners in the state to cooperate with the agency in its efforts to sanitise the outdoor advertising landscape in Anambra state.

Responding, the OAAN  President, Mr Babatunde Idowu said that they were in the state to interact with key stakeholders with a view to understanding the challenges facing the industry in the regions.

 He assured that the association will always strive to uphold high standards of professional and ethical practice as it demands same from its members.
