A 20-year old house maid, washacked to death

A 20-year old house maid, Chioma Onyegili, washacked to death yesterday by a 31-year-old sonof her madam, Okechukwu (surname withheld),for refusing to have se.x with him in Onitsha,Anambra state.The incident occurred at about 9.30 pmWednesday at 56 Ziks Avenue Fegge, Onitsha,when the suspect now in police custody used acutlas to kill the maid for refusing to accept hisadvances.Sources according to Daily Sun AndChukwudiiwuchukwu gathered that thedeceased girl was living with the 70-year-oldmother of the accused who always demandedthat the girl sleep with him, which she alwaysresisted. He thereafter slashed the girl on herneck with a machete.The Divisional Police Officer in charge of FeggePolice Station, Mr. Rabui Garba, aSuperintendent of Police who confirmed theincident, said that when the informationreached his office he dispatched a team ofdetectives who swung into action and arrestedthe culprit.He said that the suspect would be transferredto State Investigation Department (CID) forfurther investigation on the matter while thedeceased corpse has been deposited to anundisclosed hospital mortuary in Onitsha.The suspect had confessed to the crime, sayingthat he had killed some other persons in thepast in a similar manner. He claimed that he didnot know what pushed him to kill the girl, hintingthat he may have been hardened by his pastmurders. –
