Who determines the number of children a couple should have?

My name is Princess Itiaba, married with three kids. Initially, I had planned to have two kids and before we
got married, my husband and I had agreed on that but shortly after our wedding, his family began putting pressure on him, being the only son.

His mother especially was always on our necks to make as many babies as possible. I reluctantly shifted grounds and went for three but his mother is still insisting on more children and my husband seems to agree with her.

He is now mounting pressure on me to have more babies or he would be forced to make them outside.

This issue is tearing us apart because I know what I went through to have my last baby.

Now my question is this: who should determine the number of children couples have? Is it the husband, wife or a joint decision?
