Police Arrest Two for Diverting Three Container Load Of Wares In Onitsha

www.odogwublog.com reports that two persons, leader of a local vigilance group (names withheld) and another man who could not be immediately identified were yesterday arrested by the police at Odoekpe, Ogbaru Local Government Area, for allegedly diverting three container load of nails and wheel barrows from Onitsha to Odoekpe.

According to investigation, luck ran out on the duo when the police on a tip off rounded them up with the containers said to have been billed for Onitsha.
It was gathered that on getting to Onitsha yesterday they diverted to a neighbouring community of Odoekpe, ostensibly to steal the wares.

The three containers were seen parked at the Onitsha Police Area Commanders Premises in Onitsha as at the time of filing this report.

Contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Okechukwu Ali, confirmed the arrest and recovery of the containers.
He said that investigation is ongoing to get details of the entire saga.
