Nigerians reject calls to legalize adultery in the country

Pulse Nigeria Poll: Nigerians reject calls to legalize adultery in the country
The faceless human rights group that has been putting pressure on the National Assembly to follow the examples of countries like South Africa, England, New Zeland, Canada and Scotland, where adultery is not seen as a crime, may not have its wishes, if votes by a vast majority of  respondents are anything to go by.

The leaders of the group, ostensibly feminists, have been clamouring for the National Assembly to make adultery legal, seeing that as it is in Nigeria today, extra-marital affairs favour the men who are at liberty to sleep with other women even when they are married, while the women are at a disadvantage.

They are of the view that what is accepted as a norm for men, should as well be applicable to women and as such, adultery should not be seen as a sin or crime.

On that note, our PNP poll poser was:

Should adultery be legalized in Nigeria?

How Nigeria voted:

12% - Yes, if men can get away with it, women too should

88% - No, it is not in our culture

How would you vote here?
