Man bathes mother with acid over frustrating life

A 40-year-old plumber identified as Steve Nwani, caused a stir at the Ahima, Alisimie-Agbor, Ika South
Local Government Area of Delta State, when he emptied a can of substance believed to be acid on his mother for allegedly being behind his frustrating life.

A family source reveal that Nwani had been complaining severally how his mother had been behind all the misfortunes of his life and had even attempted committing suicide in the past.

Nwani who is said to be a very strong Christian of the Baptist Church denomination, had been facing a myriads of bad luck and tough challenges in life and blamed his woes on his mother whom he claimed was a witch.

On the fateful day, he took out his frustration on the mother by bathing her with the acid and though the woman survived the attack after she was rushed to a hospital, the culprit has been in hiding since then while his wife was arrested by the police from the Agbor Division where she was assisting them to unravel the whereabouts of her husband.
