League of Anambra Professionals visits Governor Obiano, lauds his development blueprint

www.odogwublog.com reports that Governor Willie Obiano says his administration is exploring the potentials that abound in the Public-Private Partnership build-up to bring about the desired transformation accross the various sectors of the State.

 Governor was speaking when he received a delegation from the League of Anambra Professionals (LAPs), who called on him at the Governor's Lodge, Amawbia.

 The League comprises professionals of Anambra Origin across the various fields who have come together to pursue the advancement of the State by supporting successive administrations in the State realize their vision.

 Addressing the delegation, Governor Obiano said his administration had on inception, devised a proactive framework through its enablers, that will drive its four key development pillars.                   
According to him, under the enablers,  his regime had fought insecurity to  a standstill through its provision to all relevant security agencies, while the education, Health and Power sectors are receiving attention expected to advance them.

 While highlighting the efforts of his government towards increasing the State's  Internally-Generated Revenue  in response to the harsh economic realities of the day, the Governor said investments are already being attracted with a view to supporting government provide improved services to the people, create wealth and job opportunities for the Youths as well as grow the State Gross Domestic Product.

 These investments he noted, have been designed in a manner that aside the job opportunities advantage, 5% of its dividends has been dedicated to corporate social responsibility projects in their host communities where the communities will benefit from infrastructural projects, scholarships and other largesse.

 Governor Obiano tasked members of the League to utilize their professional experience and connections to attract wealthy Ndi Anambra across the globe to bring their wealth into the state, assuring them that the State Government has set up the ANSIPPA as a special purpose outfit to ease the rigors of the investment process.

The leader of the delegation and President of the League, Mr Willie Onuorah said the organisation is proud of the governor who is one of their founding, members and his transformational steps he has taken that have started yielding results in the areas of security, agriculture, improved welfare for civil servants among others.

He explained that the visit was to constructively dialogue with the governor on how best to sensitize and mobilize Ndi Anambra on the need to think home and invest in ventures that will bring about massive employment and wealth opportunities in the key se tors of the state economy, diversify the economy and transform the diverse cultural endowments of the people into world-class Eco-tourism potentials.

In a vote of thanks, the Chairperson, Women's wing of the league, Mrs Elizabeth Jibunor described Governor Obiano's developmental blueprint as a well-thought out plan that has the potential if well implented, to transform the state to the next level and assured him that the League will avail him the desired assistance  in garnering support from within and outside the state in the task ahead.
