and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them [when they go abroad]. That will be better, that so they may be recognized and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving,

Forgive the debts of people.
Control your anger, and if someone starts a dispute. Leave with dignity.
Pay your zakat if it is due on your wealth. Nothing purifies wealth like zakat does.
Invest your wealth into an Islamic waqf (endowment).
Donate to the building or renovation of a masjid.
Try to go on Hajj (Pilgrimage to Mecca)
Teach your children how to be good Muslims and how to pray.
Striving to increase one’s knowledge whether it be religious or academic. Working towards becoming an informed and proactive citizen. According to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), “The seeking of knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim.”
Performing sincere repentance for one’s sins and seeking the mercy and forgiveness of God. Feeling guilty for transgressions that one has made, and then making an active effort to learn from one’s mistakes and never repeat them again.
Be Grateful, look at those less privileged when making worldly comparisons with others: “When you see a person who has been given more than you in money and beauty, look to those who have been given less.”  (Prophet Muhammed)
Avoid harmful Music, Movies, TV, and meaningless chatter.
Don’t Beg. The prophet (SAW) once said that it was better for a man to take a rope and gather some wood on his back to sell than to go out begging for money.
Smiling, being kind, and staying positive when interacting with others. This leads to mercifulness and forgiveness, which are attributes which God loves in human beings.
When Life becomes tough, take solace in the verse that says "with hardship comes ease."
Fulfilling obligatory duties and abstaining from prohibited matters
Avoid bad company. We should avoid taking as friends those who speak too freely, who miss Salah, who do not dress modestly, who backbite, slander etc.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “And no one humbles himself before Allaah but Allaah will raise him (in status).”
Make dua (Prayer) for forgotten friends, families (and the author of this list)
Remember specific blessings Allah has bestowed upon you and say Alhamdulillah
