Insurgents massacre 40 in Adamawa and Borno


Insurgents in Northern part of Nigeria widely referred to as Boko Haram have struck again leaving 40 people injured and scores of Adamawa and Borno residents injured.

According to reports, gunmen suspected to be members of  Boko Haram, raided three villages in  Adamawa State even as  another group invaded Kwata Mai Kadir and surrounding villages in Askira-Uba local government area of Borno State, killing 40 people and injuring scores of  residents.

In a report , 25 were killed in the Adamawa weekend attack while 15 died in the Borno attacks.

The attackers that invaded villages in Adamawa allegedly rode on motorcycles on Friday morning, July 24, 2015 before gunning people down, according to residents and Maina Ularamu, the Chairman of the local government in the Madagali district.

In Borno, the  insurgents looted the attacked villages after wrecking havoc on the communities before making away with two vehicles and their loots that include foodstuff and animals.

Mr. James Ayuba, a resident of Kwata Mai Kadir village- one of the villages attacked in Borno, revealed that the insurgents came all the way from the Sambisa forest and killed 10 people before storming a nearby village  of Yasa, about two kilometres to Mai Kadir, and slaughtering five residents.
