Federal Government reacts over the mysterious death of a Nigerian in police custody in Austria
The Federal Government of Nigeria has inquired through its diplomatic channel to know the cause of the untimely and painful death of Kingsley Chinagorom Echeta in the hands of the Austrian police, shortly after he was arrested.

Global Reporters has been reliably informed that the government of Nigeria through the embassy has instructed authorities concerned not to bury the remaining body of Echeta until the autopsy result conducted on him is out and the cause of his death unraveled.

In complimenting the right and timely step already taken by the Federal Government of Nigeria, some members of the Nigerian communities in Austria who spoke to Global Reporters were willing to do whatever it could take including flying the lifeless body of Echeta to another country for further examination if they were not satisfied.

Kingsley Chinagorom Echeta was arrested on Monday (22.06.2015) evening and he died on Tuesday. Echeta’s partner Ms. Patricia Ubanek and those who saw his dead body told Global Reporters that some parts of his lips or mouth had been swollen and there had also been a fresh wound by the side of his left eye.

The big questions on the lips of many are:

1.    Was he brutalized and tortured?
2.    What was the cause of his death?
3.    Why was Echeta’s partner Ms. Patricia Ubanek told by the police on Thursday that Echeta had actually been in police custody but that he had been released, but when she came back to the police station on Friday to inform them that her partner was still yet to come home, and his phone numbers were still not going through, then came the shock news that her partner was dead, and that he had died on Tuesday?
4.    What could be the reason why she was not told on Thursday that her partner had died on Tuesday?

The autopsy result should satisfactorily explain the actual cause of Echeta’s death.
