Kaduna state governor, Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has thanked residents of the state and security agencies following the successful Sallah celebrations in the state.
The Special Assistant, Media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan disclosed this while addressing newsmen in Kaduna. Aruwan said, “We are grateful to Almighty God for granting us peace. We thank our citizens, security agencies, traditional and religious leaders for the joint efforts that brought about hitch-free Sallah
celebrations. “The patriotism and diligence exhibited by security agencies is commendable, the moral support from clerics and monarchs and the consciousness of our citizens have helped immensely. We urge every segment of our community to continue to cooperate to promote peace and security.” The governor called for strong public support for the difficulty the people were going through, stressing that necessary steps were being taken to cut costs and free up resources for meaningful development in all nooks and crannies in the state. Mr. Aruwan said that the government was pushing resources to provide qualitative schools, hospitals, roads, and other social amenities as well as pursuing efforts at job-creation and skills-acquisition for
youths. “Government is determined to tackle poverty and provide qualitative education, well-equipped hospitals and infrastructure, and promote social justice in the state,” the statement added
