Popular Nollywood actor and politician, Bob-Manuel Udokwu has been designated for a chieftaincy title. The honour will be conferred on him by the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Nollywood (ONN).
In a statement by the socio-cultural group, Eze(Dr) Harris Chuma, Bob-Manuel will be conferred with the ‘Eze Ndigbo of Anambra State Nollywood’ title, which literally means ‘King of Anambra State-born Nollywood practitioners.”
Chuma said, the honour is in recognition of the showbiz empresario’s unrelenting effort in revitalizing movie activities in his home state. He is also to be honoured as an active promoter of Igbo culture and language using the platform of Nollywood and other entertainment outlets.
The actor will be presented with his staff of office at the forthcoming Igbo Film Festival scheduled from August 9 through 11, at Ogbunike Civic Development Centre, Abor- Amawa-Ogbunike, Anambra State.
The festival is being organized in partnership with the Anambra State Ministry of Information,Culture and Tourism.
